Maybe even get a few meals prepped and popped in the freezer for when baby arrives, cooking for you will be your last priority – but you’re still important!

Check your cabinets for any medication or cleaning products and make sure that they are securely out of reach. Examine your plugs or any electrical devices, and ensure that wires are moved out of your child’s way.

But remember, you don’t need to invest in the latest designer wardrobe or chest of drawers set. Be practical, and see how you can make existing furniture work. Also don’t panic, the advice is that your little one should sleep in your room, in their own cot, for the first 6 months, so you’ve got plenty of time to make the room perfect for your new little guest.
